Today I want to share with you the fun and playful party we threw for our little girl a couple of years ago. Sydney is our youngest, and our loudest, so naturally her party had to have a lot of punch! Bright colours and a cool theme spelt out Ice-Cream to her, and me. With lots of pinterest and google inspiration, we chose Aqua and hot pink as the main colours, with hints of waffle cone yellow/ orange/ brown – you know what I mean, shades!!
We re-used the tents from Hunter’s glamping party, but added fun, bright fabric. This was yet another sleepover – two in two weeks! I think we must have been crazy, but the girls were an awesome bunch, and we all had a really fabulous time.
Since Sydney had a tiered cake last year, we said we would do a sculpted for her this time. So I carved a pink lemonade cake into an ice-cream sundae, and decorated it entirely with modelling chocolate – her favourite! The design wasn’t a surprise, because, well, she’s way to opinionated for that lol!
We made some very cool ice-cream crafts, and did a pass the parcel, with cute ice-cream themed gifts for all. Then after dinner we enjoyed this delicious cake, along with meringue waffle cones, ice-cream shaped cookies, musk rocky road and loads of lollies, including Sydney’s favourite – freckles.
Midnight snack was real ice-cream with caramel and strawberry topping, and sprinkles and nuts galore! After that, the girls enjoyed some movies, and chatted until 1am.
Guests all took home little washi taped wrapped bags of ice-cream shaped pencils and cute bunny and kitty notebooks from Pavement.
We had so much fun designing this party, and even more fun during it. Sydney had the “best party ever!!” and I have to say, it was pretty awesome indeed. Happy Birthday sweet baby girl. You are the sparkle in my day xoxo
