I dropped the cake!
Not really, but it sure does look cool. Is this the new trend in drip cakes? Possibly!
Materials
Board
* 14″ Square cake board
* 850g (1lb 14oz) light brown fondant (Americolor Chocolate Brown)
* Americolor Chocolate Brown, Americolor Super Black and Wilton Ivory
* Clear alcohol to mix (I used Vodka)
* Boning tool
* Ruler or tape measure
* Scraper
*Large rolling pin
* Pizza cutter
* Screw
* Drill
* Screwdriver
* 14mm wooden dowel
* 20mm Round cookie cutter
Cake
* 6″, 8″ and 10″ Round cakes (I used 4 batches of our vanilla cupcake recipe)
* 6″, 8″ and 10″ Round cake plates with 15mm holes drilled in the centre
* 5″, 7″ and 9″ Round cake plates
* 14″ Round cake board
* Sweet Buttercream
– 2.5kg (5lb 8oz) Pale Purple – Americolor Turquoise
* 300g (10oz) White chocolate ganache (I used a ratio of 2:1)
* Parchment paper
* Turntable
* Spatula
* Scraper
* 15mm Round cookie cutter
* Squirt bottle, or piping bag
* Sweets – I used macarons, coloured popcorn, chocolates, jelly beans, licorice, musk sticks, 100’s and 1000’s cookies, bon bons, marshmallows
